S1. Ep.15 Telling Your Story
Apr 30, 2021 • S01 E15 • 00:15:57
The power of your story! For what we have come to embrace today and has influenced us and the decisions we have been making is not unconnected to the stories we have been told and have believed. Our society thrives on stories.
In this Episode of the Word Café podcast, I look at the power in a story. My focus here is on the discovery of the River Niger by Mungo Park, Scottish explorer. This story gives credit to someone who came from a faraway land to take credit for what has been in existing, providing support for those who dwelt there, before he came along taking ‘ownership’ for what was never his.
Your story is yours to tell, for no one can tell it like you can. It carries your very essence, that part of you that completes the network of the society and makes it a WHOLE. Our individual uniqueness compliments the different ‘uniquenesses’ on the human landscape of existence, just like the innumerable number of stars that brightens the sky, in creating different patterns of pictures that inspires us when we look up to gaze upon the simple, but beautiful things of life, are our stories.
Yes, go ahead and tell your story, and own it
