The future is coming whether you feel ready or not, so why do we treat foresight like entertainment instead of a responsibility? I record this one outdoors in the wind and use that setting to slow down and think clearly about a loaded word: “the prophetic.” For many of us, especially if you’ve been around Nigerian religious culture, prophecy can sound like someone declaring what will happen next. I want to offer a different lens that keeps the faith but adds clarity and usefulness.

To ground it, I walk through simple examples like transportation and communication. We went from horses and long travel times to automobiles, planes, and systems that keep compressing distance. We went from surface mail to email where information moves instantly. Then we connect that same logic to modern future forecasting, including AI predictions based on current capabilities and available data. It’s not magic, it’s projection plus continuous improvement, and it’s something you can apply to your own life planning and personal development.
