SPEAKER_02: Good morning.
Good afternoon.
Good evening.
Good everything.
Wherever you are.
I will always start with that.
You know that I will always
start with that.
How are you?
Yes.
Part of the reason, if not all
of the reasons, why we're here
is because you're there.
And each time I come into this
space, it's exciting because I
know you're listening.
And uh yes, this is the space
where we're coming to lean on
one and other's experience to
forge a positive path.
I'm not alone in the studio
today.
I have an amazing personality.
And uh I'll say one or two
things about him, and I'll bring
him on, and uh he'll let us into
his world.
I met him.
Uh, how did I meet him?
I was telling him, I you know, I
was going through Instagram and
I ran into his song.
Uh, I don't know what the father
is doing to me.
I like it, that I like it.
I love it.
Oh, I guess some of you know
that personality.
And I just fell in love with
that song.
And I went on YouTube, checked
him up, and all of that, and
boom, that's how the
conversation started.
So we have him in our space
today.
Welcome, Jeffson.
So let's get to meet you.
SPEAKER_03: Who is this
wonderful personality?
I'm just your brother in Christ,
and um, I'm someone who just
desires to honor Jesus.
Yeah.
Um, I'm a worship leader, and um
um I have a community of people
um that we lead.
Um, a community called a closet.
The closet is a gathering of
people, you know, just like
we're talking behind scene the
other time.
Yeah, you know, um, just the way
you you behave in your house
before your father, before God.
So we we God has helped us to
create a space where you can
come in, even though you're with
a hundred people, you still feel
like I'm with I'm one-on-one
with my father.
So you can be yourself before
the father.
So yeah, and um I believe um I
strongly believe that um a
revolution is coming in the
worship space, and um, and God
wants to do something really,
really amazing.
Yeah.
So um that's why God has helped
us to plug ourselves into that
stream.
And um yeah, that's a little bit
about me.
Um from Delta State, Nigeria.
I'm a worry boy.
I know.
I know.
Yeah, so that's that that's it.
SPEAKER_02: So I have this
colleague, his name is Odete
Ralph.
You know, so when I saw the
name, I said yes, this Nawari
Pekin, he's from that part of
town.
Good to have you on the show.
So we're gonna start from that
word, revolution in worship.
So, guys, uh, you know how I do
it on the show here.
I bring personalities that I
consider culture shaping
individuals.
Their everyday life translates
into culture shaping and
shifting.
And Jeff Sin is one of them with
his uh worship uh what I call
it, community, you know, the
closet it is called.
You can check it out.
So I want to begin from that
point.
How did the closet begin?
SPEAKER_03: Okay, so um firstly,
um I would say ministry is uh is
is you communicating your
experience to um to God's
people, communicating your
experience.
Um it had to it has to start
with what you for example, you
can't teach Abraham faith.
You can't teach David that God
can bring down a Goliath, right?
Um you can't teach um Hannah
that the Baron can conceive.
These these are their
experiences, and it became their
life, and to date we are still
talking about those people.
So it started as an experience
for me.
In late 2018, 2019, I stepped
into a season, a very amazing
season.
Um after the COVID year.
Yes, before COVID.
Yeah.
I think COVID just solidified
everything for me.
Yeah.
So 2019 was a very vital moment
for me.
Um I started having encounters.
I started um, there was one day
I was awake almost all through
the night.
I was writing and I was crying.
I felt the father was just
pouring his heart to me.
And since then it opened up a
new dispensation for me where um
I started hearing sounds.
Yeah.
So in 2020, we came out to
start, um, wanted to do a live
recording called The Closet.
So we did a live recording.
And um I remember after that
meeting, I remember so strong in
my spirit that you've given me
what I want.
I heard it, you've given me what
I want.
But funny enough, we didn't
release any song from that
recording.
So what is it?
What did I actually give to him?
I I I really don't know.
But that was a seed.
That was the beginning of
something great in my life.
So we didn't release any of
those songs.
Okay.
Imagine investing so much.
You know, I'm life recording is
expensive, investing so much,
paying for space, camera, and
everything.
But you didn't release a song
from that project.
And so 2021 came.
We said, okay, let's start um
monthly worship meeting called
the closet.
So we just we started February
2021, hoping to have it in
March.
But guess what?
March didn't happen.
April didn't happen.
May.
The year came and went.
We didn't do another edition.
The Z died.
I I I I knew it was later I I
discovered why that happened.
Those were preparatory stage,
not for um starting anything.
Okay.
So it was just, it was not until
I think July 2022, I was just in
the house alone, and I felt the
father wanted me to just pray a
bit.
So while I was praying, I I he
started teaching me things about
worship.
And immediately after when I was
done, I just sent a message to
friends.
I have something I want to teach
you about worship.
And we started um we created a
WhatsApp group.
I think 50-something people
joined.
So we started I did an online
whatever um teaching.
And um in that same year, um,
September, I I felt the nudge to
call for a physical meeting.
SPEAKER_04: Right.
SPEAKER_03: And we wanted to use
a small space.
But October, September, the day
we were supposed to do it, my
mentor had a um a Thanksgiving
service.
Um God delivered him from a
ghastly motor accident, Minister
Dunsen, actually.
So it fixed a Thanksgiving on
that day.
Oh, I remember.
Yes.
That was that accident.
Yes, it fixed a Thanksgiving on
that day.
Meanwhile, I've I've put out
Advert out there, uh put out
flyers out there that we are
having a worship meeting, we're
having case string.
K-String was supposed to come.
So we're to use that smaller
space, you know.
So when he put out his own um
flyer, I said, no, he can't be
doing this while I'm doing that.
So I canceled, we canceled us.
I sent a message to everyone.
I said, sorry, this cannot hold.
So and so um I my mentor is
having something and I can't be
having yeah.
Yeah, so I canceled it.
I never knew that was a seed.
That was the beginning of
something really, really, really
huge.
Remember, I said we wanted to
use a small space.
So we now moved it to October.
October, God now gave us a
bigger, a better space where we
are not even paying anything.
And I can't I can't lie to you,
after the October edition, the
drive has not stopped.
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
SPEAKER_03: We've not missed any
edition since October 2022.
So it's good this year's gonna
be four years that we've been
we've been having a closet.
By the way, Pastor Elijah gave
us his church space, he gave us
his facility, the staffs and
everything.
Wow.
If I had gone ahead to use a
smaller space, that would have
restricted my mind, thinking
this is just for just a few
persons.
Yeah.
Meanwhile, God had a bigger plan
for what we were about.
So that's how um the closet
started, and God has been
helping us.
We've um we've um heard
testimonies from people.
Yeah, people telling you that
one of the things I love about
the closet is that I came in and
I fell in love with the father.
Oh, that that gives me great
joy.
We've heard so many testimonies,
healings, yeah, and uh um
there's one striking testimony.
There's a guy who came to the
closet who was planning to go do
Yahoo Yahoo Plus.
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
SPEAKER_03: And you know, it
involves um rituals and rest.
He was planning to go do it on
Monday.
He came to the closet on Sunday,
and that was why our God
arrested him.
He didn't go.
Um, the devices he was using to
scam people broke them, he threw
them, he threw them away.
So um, I've seen lives
transformed.
I've seen people coming to the
knowledge of Jesus.
Just, I just love Jesus.
I just love Jesus.
So that's that's it.
SPEAKER_02: Now I I I mean I
would love us to continue on
this thought.
Yeah.
But I want to go back to what
you said about experiencing God
for yourself.
You can't teach, you cannot
teach God, you can't teach
Abraham faith because he
experienced it.
Yes.
Now, let's talk about worship,
your experience, because that is
what you're sharing with your
community, you know, and all of
that.
Let's talk about worship.
What is worship?
SPEAKER_03: That's that's a
very, very, very important
question.
And I strongly believe it's
something that the world needs
to, the church needs to
understand um in this season,
um, the word worship.
Worship, okay, let's let's even
go, let's move it back a little
bit where it started from, where
the word worship came from.
Yeah.
It was Genesis 22, verse 5,
where Abraham said, Stay here.
I and the lad, we are going up
there to worship.
That day, the drummer was not
around.
The key bodies were the
keyboardies did not come.
Um, who else?
Uh the bassist.
No, no musician came.
No song was raised.
But Abraham said, I'm going up
there to worship.
He was going to kill and he
called it worship.
It was more of a sacrifice.
So the church must come to
understand that worship is not
music, worship is not song.
But songs and music can become
worship.
Can I accompany it?
So worship in itself is not
music, worship is sacrifice.
Worship is any act that pleases
God.
Yeah.
Worship is any act that pleases
God.
You know, um, do you are you
aware Abraham actually killed
Isaac?
Of course he did, because
scripture says in his heart.
Yes.
In Hebrews 11, say by faith,
Abraham offered Isaac.
He killed Isaac because as a man
thinketh, so you know, God told
Abraham, he said, Take thy son,
thy only son, whom thou love it.
You can you see how specific
that instruction came?
Take thy son, one.
If he had said, take thy son and
sacrifice, he would have taken
Ishmael.
That's a fact.
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
SPEAKER_03: But it said, thy
only son.
And I went ahead further, a step
further.
I said, Whom thou love it.
Why?
Worship is sacrificing those
things that you exalt above God.
And this is one reason why the
church members think that the
only worshipers in church are
the choir members.
Worship is any action that
pleases the Lord.
Jesus did not sing songs.
But what happened?
The Bible said in Matthew 3, I
think Matthew 3:17, he said,
This is my beloved son in whom
I'm well pleased.
I beseech you, brethren, that
you present your body to the
Lord as a holy sacrifice.
A Vashion said, This is the true
way to worship.
He didn't say music, he didn't
say songs.
So there was a day we were in a
meeting and the Lord said
something to my heart.
I don't want to be a worshiper
who only worship when I raise
songs.
Okay.
I want to be a worshiper that
when I'm not singing, I'm still
worshiping.
That when the father sees me as
an entity, he hears melody,
hears harmony, he hears a very
good rhythm because of my life.
He said, This is my beloved son
in whom I'm well pleased.
Revelation 4.11.
Thou art created all things for
thy pleasure.
So when you give the Lord
pleasure, you're worshiping him.
SPEAKER_02: So worship is beyond
the four worlds.
It's like our everyday living,
expressing that which pleases
the Lord in our everyday living.
SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Worship is not music.
Worship is not song.
But songs and music can become
worship.
Worship is an individual, it's a
lifestyle.
Worship is um is you offering.
That's why the song by Minister
Dunsen is very, very um, I have
more than a song today.
I brought myself.
It's a living sacrifice.
Receive this living sacrifice.
I am your worship.
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
SPEAKER_03: I am your worship.
So God is more interested in the
person singing than the song.
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
SPEAKER_03: It's more
interesting than the person
singing than the song.
SPEAKER_04: Okay.
SPEAKER_03: The song are just uh
they are just vehicles.
Okay.
They are just vehicles.
But you see, so the church
member can decide to do whatever
he likes because he feels he's
not a worshiper.
Worship is a duty for all, for
thou art created all things to
give you worship.
All things, the tree, the
plants, the the human beings,
everything to give you worship.
Yeah.
So we must come to that point
where we understand that worship
can be any action that pleases
the Lord.
Abraham was going to kill his
son and called it worship.
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
SPEAKER_03: Abraham was going to
kill his son and called it
worship.
So what is that thing in us that
needs to die?
True.
SPEAKER_02: So now let us look
at our culture.
You know, we were in a climb
where I wouldn't say we're
religious.
I don't like using that word,
but we are people of faith.
And we've seen a lot of songs,
worship songs, you know, come
from Nigeria to the world and
all that.
And in my opinion, I see it as a
culture-shaping event.
Like we have Hallelujah
Challenge, you know, by Pastor
Nathaniel Basi.
We have um Minister Dunsen does
his uh upper room outpouring and
pouring.
Then we have uh what's her name?
T.Y.
Bello, who does her spontaneous
worship and all that.
And somehow, when you look at
this, I would call it uh
separate events that all somehow
are coming together in culture
shaping.
I want you to speak to that for
the next generation.
SPEAKER_03: Okay, so I would say
um people don't just act.
You see, there's a revolution in
this worship space.
Songs are coming from Africa,
from every part of the world.
They are responding to prophecy.
Amos prophesying, Amos 9.11, he
said, in the last day, I will
raise up the tabernacle of
David.
The tabernacle of worship.
Um, Pastor Elijah told us
something some time ago.
He said, the revival is going to
ride on the wings of worship.
Yeah.
And we can see it.
You know, in those days, when
you see a conference, you will
see you might not see a single
music minister.
Yeah.
I remember growing up, you will
see preachers, different pastors
from different angles.
But look, check our flyers these
days.
They've changed.
You will see sometimes a
conference of three days, you
see two speakers, five music
ministers.
You see, so something is
happening.
We might think is um, okay, is
we are trying to get because
these people they are fan base,
you know, we are trying to get
them so that more people can
come for a meeting.
No.
SPEAKER_04: No.
SPEAKER_03: We are responding to
the words spoken by the Lord.
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
SPEAKER_03: That it will restore
the tabernacle of David.
Yeah.
So it's just, I I just think
it's now high time pastors,
okay, leaders, start teaching
their congregation about
worship.
Okay.
Because it is instrumental in
what is about to happen.
Any church that will be a
glorious church in this end time
must be a church of intense
worship.
And not just worship predicated
on just songs.
Worship that comes as a result
of this is who I am.
Action thing.
Yes.
So if we want to see the
miraculous, if we want to see
the move of God in this end
time, we must understand worship
because it starts from there.
SPEAKER_04: Let me give an
instance.
SPEAKER_03: Isaiah 6.
Um Isaiah said, In the year that
King Uziah that I saw the Lord,
high and lifted up.
You know that song, I see the
Lord.
SPEAKER_01: I see the Lord.
SPEAKER_03: He said, I saw um
exalted above the worship of the
people of the earth.
Yes.
He said, Um, I saw the Lord,
high and lifted up.
The train of his robe filled the
temple.
He said, Above his two the
seraphine, with twin they fly,
with twin they cover their face,
with twin they cover their feet,
and one cry to another.
What was their what was it?
What were they crying about?
Holy.
Holy.
Holy, holy, Lord God Almighty.
The whole earth is full of his
glory.
Worship.
Yeah.
Revelation 4, verse 8.
He said they rest not day and
night, crying, holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty, which was and
is and is to come.
And the four and 20 elders, they
bow.
So for us to now make our
services, our environment look
like worship, we must try to
mimic what is happening in
heaven.
So as it is in heaven, so it is
on earth.
The kingdom come.
Yes.
So we must replicate what is
happening in heaven for us to,
for us to see what is happening
in heaven, we must make our
environment look like heaven.
I like that.
So we must make our environment
look like where we are going,
where we are anticipating.
SPEAKER_02: Now, the closet,
which is the, I would say, the
platform on which the I mean God
is using you to express worship.
What's when you look at the
demography, what is it like?
Who are those coming?
The generations, who are those
attending?
SPEAKER_03: Okay, so um if I
want to take um statistics, I is
actually Mixed.
Okay.
I've seen children.
There was one because sometimes
you just as a leader, you're
just worshiping God, you know.
You really don't know what's
happening.
So it's it's still photos that
will not tell you, oh, so this
happened while we're
worshipping.
I've seen um younger babies,
little children, I've seen them
worshiping Jesus at the closet.
I've seen um a child cry at the
closet worshiping Jesus.
I've seen um older people, I've
seen um um the Gen Zs, I've seen
the Millennials, I've seen the
older generation at the closet.
So um it's um, but definitely
more of the younger people,
right?
But I I would say worship is not
age-bound.
No, it isn't.
So wherever, wherever you you,
whenever you catch this
knowledge, you can start.
So it's not really uh the
younger generation, the older
generation.
Okay uh it's it's just um
anybody can come in.
I've seen people, they just come
sit on the floor.
We don't have chairs.
We don't we don't have chairs,
you just sit on the floor.
And there's something I've
observed about um our meetings
is the fact that the
environment, you know, the
environment you stay under as a
way of um making you behave in a
certain way.
It influences your behavior.
Yeah, it influences your
behavior.
I've seen people come to the
closet and they just respond to
the environment.
Let me give an instance.
This might be a bit funny.
Um we brought and um we invited
Minister Teofila Sunday.
So when he came, um the protocol
they received him.
So we're trying to create an
environment where the only VIP
is God.
So the protocol brought him in.
Me, I was already on stage
worshiping Jesus, and they gave
him a chair.
When he came in and they gave
him a chair, he just looked uh
like everybody's on the floor
worshiping, bowing down.
Or you are giving me a chair.
Is it please take away your
chair?
And he he plugged into what he
saw.
So it it takes us back to what I
said earlier before you asked
this question.
Um, the environment matters.
So when people come into that
environment, they are they don't
have a choice than to respond to
what is happening there.
Yeah, so back to what brought us
here and demography.
So it's actually not restricted
to younger generation, anybody,
anybody, at least we said we I
quoted the scripture that I said
it four and twenty elders.
They are from elders are not
young people.
They're not, they're not your
mate.
They are worshiping God.
So it's not um everybody needs
to catch this knowledge, the
older generation, the younger
generation, yeah, and um, I just
pray God gives us the revelation
of what worship is about.
SPEAKER_02: Now, I'm gonna ask
this question concerning
leadership within this space.
You have been you've been here
quite a while, this space, and
the space I mean as a worship.
And uh how do you see the
leadership, what we have now?
Do we need to improve on it?
Do we need to like uh okay, get
better at it or maintain what we
are doing?
SPEAKER_03: Okay, so um, you
know, there was a time the Lord
um prompted my heart, it it
dropped something so strong in
my spirit.
He said, your generation wants
to run without a template.
Okay.
And that that stayed with me and
is still with me as we speak.
So um a lot of the younger
generation don't have a
template.
Okay.
When I mean template, they don't
have people, they model their
life like a pattern.
Like a pattern.
You know, sometimes I would want
to make a post online.
I will ask myself, what would my
mentor post on such in such a
time like this?
And looking at them, I know they
will not post such.
I would just let it go.
Yeah.
So a lot of us are just seeing
the glory around these people,
but we are not drawing virtues.
We are seeing glory, we are just
saying, oh, Pastor Nat just
flew, someone used a private jet
to bring Pastor Nat to Wario, or
Pastor Nat is having a
ministration in London today,
and by God's grace, I I've been
privileged to be around this
people.
By God's grace, by by God's
grace, I've been privileged to
be around these people.
And I discovered that there is
there's no isn't the the air s
what you see on stage and how
they live is it's it's it's the
same.
So when you when you're looking
up to people or someone as this
is the person I'm looking up to
as a leader, and your behavior
is betraying or your confession,
then something is wrong.
Okay.
So a lot of younger generation
they love the glory around these
people without drawing virtues
from them.
The character.
Yes.
What what will a Pastor Elijah
do?
What will a Nathanaebasi do?
What will a Doncen do?
SPEAKER_02: So we need to we
need to embrace the character,
the furnace, what builds them.
Yes.
SPEAKER_03: What built them.
Yes.
We need to understand that if
you're looking at these people
as leaders, you don't just pick
the glory.
You don't just pick what you
see.
Oh, he is he has um one million
streams in in less than 24
hours.
Oh wow, that's uh our personal
did a layer challenge and over
one million people join.
What?
Let me try and go and replicate
that.
No, no, there's an engine room.
SPEAKER_02: The idea of social
media, anyway, it's to create
this large communities which we
call followings.
But in real sense, when you
follow somebody, you should be
able to like glean from the
person, learn from the person,
see, practice.
Because there's more to doing
than just hearing or just
seeing.
Because scripture says Jesus
began to do and teach.
He didn't teach before doing.
So it's something he has done
over and over and over again.
So it now became a lifestyle.
So what he's telling you is not
telling you something far up.
It's what I do every day.
Like when scripture says, and he
woke up early to pray.
That's a life.
That's a life.
If you stay with him for five
years, some if anybody should
ask you, you see, that guy wakes
up every morning to pray.
I don't know what is his
problem.
Doesn't he sleep?
And he'll ask you, so do you
pray like him?
He's of course.
I don't when I see what he's
doing.
So he began to do before.
And that's the problem with
social media.
That's the downside of social
media.
When you crave followings, you
know, and you don't know what it
leads to.
So that it creates a duality,
yeah.
The fake and the real.
So when you see the person in
real life, as it were, stay with
the person, it's like, wow, it's
different from what I've been
seeing on social media.
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
And you know, you said something
about talking about Jesus.
Jesus says something.
He said, I do what I see my
father do.
You just said it.
SPEAKER_02: I see him because I
stay with him.
You know, I'm not doing this
because I thought it out.
No, I am copying.
I'm a copy cart for your
information.
That's what Jesus was saying
there.
I'm a copy card.
So what I see my father do, I
have the authority to do it.
So for you to see, it means
there's proximity.
You're close.
For you to see, yes, you're
seeing it.
Yes, yes.
You're seeing me.
Yes, yes.
So how well you see is dependent
on how close you are.
SPEAKER_03: Sight is that's it's
it's um uh you can't separate
sight and proximity.
SPEAKER_02: No, you cannot.
The farther you are from me, you
can't tell my image, you can't
tell.
But the minute you come close,
you know, so you watch
everything I do.
So even without saying, like
opening my mouth to utter
things, my actions are
expressing everything.
So you can peek, okay.
This guy likes closing the doors
when he goes out and comes in.
He doesn't like his windows like
this.
That's speaking.
So you're picking it up.
So that's the challenge.
I'm just speaking to what you
said now about this generation,
craven.
There's this thing I when I work
with the team, guys, we're still
discussing, so I hope you're
paying attention.
I tell my team, I'm not crazy
about trends.
Like I'm not crazy about
trending.
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
SPEAKER_02: Because trend will
come and go.
Yes.
I'm crazy about the truth.
Impact.
Yes, the truth.
What we are doing, is it the
truth?
Is it the truth?
Is it true?
Yeah, and let's put it out
there.
And I'm not crazy about
following.
Because I know a lot of people
see what we do, even if they
don't follow, they see it.
How do I know?
When I walk the street, people
call, ah, that what's that's the
word Smith, the word cafe guy.
Okay, so you watch, you listen.
So that's another thing, and I
like that fact that you put
there knowing these people for
who they are, not the glory.
Not the glory.
Because you know the glory can
lift just the way in the days of
Eli, when he said he cabod, the
glory has departed, and it's a
very painful thing.
That's the reality, but it's
painful.
So it means there's something
you can do and cabod.
Can go, can leave.
I cabod.
So God is more interested in the
relationship than in the
cabboard.
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
Yes.
Um I I think I wrote something
some time ago, some years ago.
So I used to write um, I used to
write quotes, I just hear them,
I write.
Um I've never seen a man with
depth that is void of height.
True.
True.
Very true.
Maybe I should say it again.
I've never seen a man with depth
that is void of height.
Well, you've seen you can see
men with height without depth.
And they don't last.
Yes, because when the wind
comes, it takes it takes you off
your off of off your feet.
Yeah.
So it's it's very important we
um I think it's a Chinese bamboo
tree.
I I'm sure you know that.
I know that.
Yes.
So it is very important we
understand that um uh the hype
will fade.
It will.
The hype will fade.
Um Jesus said, let your light so
shine before men, that they see
your good works, and glorify
your father who is in heaven.
Let your light so shine before
men, that they see your good
works, and there's a projection,
it goes up to the Father.
So we must understand uh seasons
come and go.
True.
There's a there's just a
constant, and the constant is
God.
So when when you understand uh
somebody can be up today and
tomorrow we don't hear about him
anymore.
Yeah.
But what did the Bible say about
us?
It said the path spora for it's
the path of the just.
Like a shining light.
That shines brighter and
brighter.
So the older you get, the the
brighter you should become.
So you you you now understand
that man, I'm not better than
those that are that that were
shining before.
And the like I was telling some
of my friends, I said there are
some people I used to know in
those days, but I don't hear
about them again.
That thing uh um it gives it it
gives me some um some chill
feeling, like you can you if you
are not careful, you can just
disappear.
It humbles.
Yes, it humbles me, brings me to
that.
There are some in those days,
once there's a worship beating,
you know the names that they
will call.
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
SPEAKER_03: Do you get?
I do.
So we must understand that when
we don't stay with the constant,
we will go into extinction.
True.
And what's the constant?
God.
Absolutely.
The path of the just is like a
shining light that shineth
brighter and brighter.
Have you observed that our
fathers in faith, the older they
become, the more influential
they become?
Mm-hmm.
Yes, their weight becomes
heavier.
Yeah.
Do you know people are waiting
for some of them to speak on
matters?
People are waiting for them to
speak on some matters.
Okay, what would Pastadeboy say
about this matter now?
Yeah.
What will social and so persons
say about this matter?
True.
People are waiting for them to
just say a word.
Bloggers are waiting.
Unbelievers are waiting.
Christians are waiting.
People are just waiting for them
to just say a word.
So we must understand that as a
human being, as a human being,
you can depreciate.
So the only thing that can keep
you relevant is that spotlight
from heaven.
God saying, This is my beloved
son.
When Jesus was with the disciple
alone, when that same voice
came, he said, This is my
beloved son.
Yeah.
Listen to him.
So when that heavenly approval
is on you, year him, there is no
decline.
That do mark by till he passed
on, his name carries weight.
Even in his death, his name
carries weight.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
So we we must we must really
understand that.
We must really understand that
this thing we are chasing trend.
Trend is good for a season.
Trend is good for a season.
You can attest to the fact that
there are songs that we s that
um that are still relevant after
decades.
Yeah.
We are still singing those
songs.
Yeah.
We are still singing those
songs.
SPEAKER_01: There is none holy
as the Lord.
SPEAKER_03: We are still singing
those songs.
SPEAKER_02: Yes, we are.
Amazing.
All right, guys.
We've been discussing with Jeff
Sinner Deity.
And uh the subject matter is one
that I would say transcends
time.
We we can dwell on it and you
know, on and on.
But every generation desires it,
every generation should partake
of it, worship, you know, and it
is our act of service.
You know, scripture says, Thou
shalt worship the Lord your God
with all your heart, with all
your strength, with all your
might.
And the truth is, when that is
done, the I mean the response is
left to our imagination.
I'm going to, before I let him
go, I will just allow him to
speak to that individual out
there who maybe is having that
struggle within this space.
Say a word of encouragement to
that individual.
All right.
SPEAKER_03: Um firstly, um, I'm
honored to be here.
Um I want you to understand
something.
Um, you know, a lot of people
think David is a man after God's
heart because of music.
No.
No.
And that has been a very big
confusion.
You say, ah, David's a
worshiper.
That's why is he is he loves
music, that's why.
No.
God does not love music more
than he loves us.
He does not love music more than
he loves us.
So if you are in a space right
now where you feel you're you're
wasting away, um where you think
um it's not making sense,
firstly, ask yourself, did God
bring me here?
Did God ask me to do this?
Umce is his will, it becomes his
bill.
Um you you might feel forsaken,
you might feel listen, listen,
listen.
The path to destiny fulfillment
is a lonely path.
It's a very lonely path.
And um it will test it will test
you, it will test your
conviction.
It will.
The path, if you don't remember
anything, remember this.
The path to destiny fulfillment
is a lonely path.
You tread it on your own with
the help of God.
Because none of us has actually
passed through life before.
None of us.
None of us.
So I I want you to understand
that if God has brought you this
far, stay with him.
Stay with him, stay with him.
And um a lot of us wants to
emerge without having track
record of service.
I wish I had time to say that to
talk about that, but um get a
space, plug yourself into
service.
In the process of serving
others, you find yourself as
well.
It's very important.
It's very important.
A lot of us just want to emerge.
We don't have track record of
service, we just want to do
things anyhow, just okay.
Uh, God called me.
Yes, I know God called you.
Get a place, serve, join a
community, serve.
While you wait, serve.
Keep serving, keep waiting, keep
serving, keep waiting.
You'll be amazed at the end of
the day because what I've
realized about this journey is
that service gives speed.
Service gives speed.
I'm telling you, a lot of people
that are doing exploit today in
the media department, in every
part of the world today, check.
A lot of them started from the
media department in church.
Go and check.
A lot of them.
Oh, carry the camera, come and
do this, come and do this.
Service helps you, it gives you
clarity.
It makes you understand this is
what I ought to do.
And stay with the Lord.
Don't follow trend.
Um, trend with fade.
Trend with fade.
Get a mentor, get someone, stay
around um a godly community.
Uh I observed something when I
went to um Lawrence Oyo's
wedding.
Um, I was part of Isagbada Men
years ago.
So we were in a room, Apostle
Rockbo was there, Pastor Fermi
Lazarus was there, um Pastor
Samuel Lamore was there, I think
Apostle Kenny, at least the
prayer department for Koinonia,
was there.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_03: Uh Lawrence Oyle was
also there.
I think it was Apostle Rookbo
that said, Let us pray.
Or no, I think it was Pastor
Fermi Lazarus that said, Let's
pray.
Then um they were not as popular
as so but they had that needed
community.
And they say, let us pray.
Immediately they say, Let us
pray.
I could feel the whole room
became charged.
And I came with a principle.
The quickest way to keep your
fire burning is to stay close to
fire.
So get close to people who are
going to going your route, going
to where you're going, and
ignite passion together.
And I tell you, the sky is not
even your limit.
So just just just stay focused.
Just stay focused on the path in
which God has called you to
tread.
It might not be popular, it
might not make sense.
God might ask you to start
singing slow song, fast song, or
whatever.
Just do what the father wants
you to do.
That's all for me.
Thank you.
SPEAKER_02: The sky ain't your
limit if you're walking with
God, guys.
You know, it's not your limit.
It is actually your beginning.
We've been talking with Jeffson
Odete.
He's the convener of the closet.
I encourage you, go look for the
closet uh on Instagram.
His handle is Jeffson Odiety.
If you follow him, you will see
the closet.
You know, just like he's talked
about it.
You know, I encourage you
wherever you are in the city of
Abuja, make even if you can
create that time to join in that
worship.
Follow, I wouldn't say follow
the bandwagon, but go under such
atmosphere.
You're going to get that
passion.
You'll be ignited.
That's the word.
You'll be ignited and you see
things happen.
I'm really, really grateful
having him here today.
What we've done on the show
today is more of a solemn
exchange.
I wanted you to experience him
and at the same time hear from
him also.
You know, he's he's an amazing
personality.
But you know how we say it on
the show.
This is the space where we come
in to lean on one another's
experience to forge a positive
path.
I always bring such
conversations because I think
and I know you need them for
your future.
All right, guys, before I let
you go, yes, we are available on
all the social media platforms:
Instagram, uh, LinkedIn, uh, X,
which other one?
TikTok.
We have a YouTube channel.
You know that.
Are you following?
Please do.
And uh hit that notification
button so that whenever
conversations like this drop,
you'll be first to know.
You know how we say it on the
show till I come your way again.
My name is Amakri.
Amakri is away.
Bye for now, Jeffson.
unknown: Bye.
